According to its statute, the Romanian Furniture Manufacturers Association (APMR):

• represents the economic, comercial and legal interests of its members;
• is an authorized interlocutor when discussions with State organizations (either they are legislative or executive ones) are carried on;
• supplies its members with technical and economical information, as well as marketing studies and statistical data needed for the furniture production and trade, home or abroad;
• hands down to members up to date information regarding furniture shows, fairs or exhibitions, both home or abroad;
• organizes APMR's membership parttaking in fairs or exhibitions in advantageous conditions (financial facilities for its members);
• hands down to its members various information on Phare programmes, financed by the European Union;
• hands down to its members the commercial proposals received by APMR. This way APMR contributes to the increase of the Romanian furniture export;
• facilitates the transfer of know-how and legislative as well as technical and advising information, with a special stress on the EU Community regulations and programmes through the Info-Service point which is handled by APMR (in permanent contact with UEA);
• issues periodically and hands down to its members free of charge 'MOBILA' magazine, commercial catalogues and monthly news-letters;
• gives to all of its members the possibility to publish articles and papers in Association's published works;
• gives to each of its members the possibility to be the beneficiary of free of charges publicity in its News-letters and within the Association internal correspondance;
• intensifies the relations with all the mass-media in order to maintain an active presence of the Association and its members in mass-media.
